1. PURPOSE
1.1 In the interest of the department member’s health and safety, this document is established to provide guidelines maintaining a safe emergency response.

3. OSHA REQUIREMENTS
3.1 The department shall maintain a safe working environment during emergency response in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
4. PROCEDURE
4.1 STRUCTURE FIRES: SKEMS is to be requested by the IC once a code red has been confirmed by arriving units.
4.2 IC to establish a rehab area once a code red has been determined.
4.3 SEARCHES: SKEMS is to be requested by the IC once a command center location has been established.
4.4 IC to establish a rehab area.
4.5 RESCUES: SKEMS is to be requested by the IC upon dispatch.
